Our Latest Event
Join us January 31 in Old Town Alexandria. We perform at the Washington Street Methodist Church, 115 S. Washington St. at 4 p.m.
The concert is entitled "Ex-Pats in London", a sampling of composers from the continent who settled in London to live, work, become famous and even rich.
Works are by Handel, Loiellet, Pepusch, Barsanti and Abel.
We welcome Doug Wolters, who is joining us to play on cello and viola da gamba.
Admission is free with a collection to be taken for the victims in Haiti.
All funds will go to UMCOR, the relief agency of the United Methodist Church.
Introduction to La Ménéstrandise
The members of La Ménéstrandise are freelance musicians of the Washington D.C. area with extraordinary talents and varied backgrounds. Specializing in music of the late Renaissance to the Baroque , La Ménéstrandise is an ensemble of oboe, violin, recorders, string bass and harpsichord.
